That's what we had this weekend. Rain, rain, rain, and then some more rain. And when it wasn't raining, it was cloudy and cold. And just generally gross. So we did what any normal family with a restless toddler does...
We went to the mall!
The mall with the American Girl store, in fact. Have you been in one of those places? There's a cafe full of hyped up little girls eating at tables with their dolls in highchairs next to them. And a salon with dolls that have been put through the wringer sitting in chairs having their hair redone. It's fantastic for kids. And really creepy for the rest of us.
But it wasn't a bad way to spend the day, all in all.

And if you're reading this post through a feed, make sure to stop by my actual site today, to check out all of the changes that took place this weekend. A HUGE thanks to Kimmie at Blue Paper Lanterns for the redesign. She is BEYOND amazing!
Aha! I'm not the only one who gets creeped out by the American Girl store! I think kids are growing up so fast nowadays... it seems like such different times than when we were growing up.
ReplyDeleteCool rainboots, Tara! I hope it catches on like Uggs, where we can wear them all the time without people giving us odd stares, haha.

ML - Thanks so much! You're lucky to be on the unknown side of the American Girl store...it's a crazy doll store that little girls are obsessed with, and parents try to avoid at all cost :)
ReplyDeleteGoodness, Kimmie did an awesome job on both of your sites! Super cool!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of the American Girl store. And I can't say that makes me sad. ;)
