Friday Round-Up

Tomorrow, we're off on Vacation, The 2nd, since Vacation, The 1st was postponed last week due to the tropical storm that, right about the time when we were supposed to be leaving, looked like it was headed straight for the Florida panhandle, which was also where we were headed. So, tomorrow it is.

Now, to do all of that packing I've been putting off all week...

------------------------------------------

But first! A few things that I've enjoyed reading these past few days!

One thing I need to start doing is figuring out what it is that makes me truly happy in life, because I feel a little all over the place right now. This post by Amy on that exact topic might be a good place to start.

(Also, if this space starts getting a little more inward focused, I'm sorry. I need to get a few things figured out for myself, and since this is my happy place, this just might be where I come to do just that.)

I used to be a very political person, to the point that I was working towards a second major in Government when I was in college, because I found it all so fascinating. However, the truth of the matter is that politics are an ugly game most of the time, and supporters of both sides seem to fall prey to that. I love Ginger's take on things we need to keep in mind before we start spewing too much venom at each other.

And that's really all I have this week. The end of summer seems to be a pretty busy time for everyone, including myself, and my Internet surfing just isn't up to par right now. I hope everyone has a lovely, lovely (and three-day long, maybe? probably?) weekend, and I'll think of you all fondly while I'm lying on the beach in total relaxation!

(Or, chasing a toddler around the pool, which is a much, much more likely scenario, honestly...)

Friday Round-Up

IT'S TAX FREE WEEKEND IN GEORGIA!!!

Now, who wants to follow me around all weekend, reminding me that I do not, in fact, need anymore maternity clothes to get me through the last four months of this pregnancy and that buying clothes for after the pregnancy is not actually any better of an idea, either?

-------------------------------------

Just a few things around the Internet that are making me thoughtful this week...

(or hormonal, maybe? thoughtful, hormonal, it's all the same thing these days, right?)

There is some soul-searching going on all over the place right now (like here and here), and I'm kind of starting to think I need to get in on it.

I don't want to think about Brigid turning three in a couple of months, but I keep trying to remind myself that every stage has it's own awesome perks...

...except for maybe when she turns into an adult? I just don't think my heart will be able to handle that...

(and again, like I said...hormonal. that has to be it. please tell me I don't have to get through the rest of my life as a nonstop ball of sadness and sap, because I just don't think that will work for me.)

Friday Round-Up

I really didn't think I'd be getting all engrossed in the Olympics this year, because there are just too many other things going on for me right now, but something about the women's gymnastics team (and, if I'm being completely honest, the eye candy that is the male swim team) has drawn me in.

And now, I hate NBC for tape delaying EVERYTHING, only to stretch the coverage on into midnight every night just for the fun of it.

SOME OF US LIKE TO SLEEP, NBC!#!$#&1!

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is...

longest. week. ever.

Thank goodness it's Friday!

------------------------------------------

Just a couple of links today, if you're looking to kill some time before the weekend officially starts....

This. This post makes me happy that I'm the mother of girls. I just hope I can live up to the responsibility, now.

A couple of my favorite outfits this week, courtesy of Kendi and Tara.

You know, I've gone through this pregnancy so far making plans for what I'm going to do to get healthy again when it's all over. And then I realized...why wait? There's nothing that says I can't get healthy WHILE I'm pregnant, right? This seems like a good start. (I'm starting small with morning oatmeal, I think. Have you seen this recipe for refrigerator oatmeal floating around Pinterest recently? It has to be better for me than the chocolate chip cookies I had this morning...)

And finally, on a shopping note...doesn't this framed burlap initial just scream perfect wedding gift for a rustic wedding? Oh, what? I'm the only one hearing voices today?

Fine. Happy Friday to you, too, then...

Friday Round-Up

So, give it to me straight...am I the only one who loves to watch the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, but then can't watch any of the actual Olympic competitions because seeing people lose what they've been working so hard to win for so many years is just more than my hormone addled heart can handle?

Yes?

Ok. Carry on, then.

----------------------------------------------

Friday links, anyone?

I love these gift ideas, both in the post itself and in the comments. I know what EVERYONE is getting from me FOREVER from now on!

I couldn't find this exact candy corn wine bottle pin on Pinterest, but I found something pretty similar to add to my Halloween board. I think maybe if I can keep the paint kind of thin, I can shove some batter powered lights in there, too, for a little extra something. (Did I mention I start decorating for Halloween over Labor Day weekend? Because I do...)

I intend to make this tomato sauce, if Steve and I ever get around to growing tomatoes again. Which we will. I think.

I ABSOLUTELY intend to pick up a pair of these bracelets, if we can ever get around to naming baby number two at any point in the near future. I already have a couple of Alex and Ani bracelets, and I love them!

I may or may not have hit up Ebay for the J Crew bubble necklace, the minute I saw this post go up.

I love this story, because it just goes to show that there really ARE good people in the world, even though that can be hard to remember sometimes.

And this one, because sometimes I need to remember it's not always what I get accomplished in a day that defines that day for me...

Have a wonderful weekend, everybody!

Friday Round-Up (Sort Of)

As mentioned only a million times before in various locations, my parents were visiting this week, so all of the hard work I'd done last week to finally get caught up on my Google Reader list?

Gone in a sea of late nights spent watching HGTV with my mom and dad.

Totally worth it.

But, I did have one or two things to round up before the weekend...

1) Today is the last day to enter my giveaway from The Party Works, so you should totally go do that if you haven't.

2) eShakti is not only having an up to 40% off sale right now, but they want to give you an additional 10% off of ANY order (including those sale items!), with the code LA28PZE. The offer is good through July 31st (on anything except overstock items) and can be used as many times as you'd like within that period.

(Disclaimer: The company is offering me a site credit worth 10% of all orders placed using this code. I'd offer the code to you with or without this offer, because I really do love this company, but, you know...transparency and whatnot.)

3) This post from Elizabeth sums up my feelings on fashion and raising a girl in an image obsessed world MUCH better than I could ever hope to do myself. So...you should definitely read it, I think. It's just that good.

Have a lovely weekend!

Friday Round-Up

We are off to the lake this weekend, for a belated 4th of July celebration and cook-out. I don't think it's supposed to top 100 degrees in the next few days, so we're already miles ahead of where we were last weekend, on the enjoyment scale...

--------------------------------------------

Anyone interested in my favorite links?

A few additions to my outfit inspiration folder in the last couple of weeks can be found here, here, and here, while my budget is trying to talk me out of searching for the adorable anchor sweatshirt, posted here.

I'm still not sure why I don't live in Hawaii.

I definitely need a rapid dry topcoat for my nails that actually works, and I've been dying to try a sea spray for my hair.

Cheap and easy organization ideas for my bathroom and my kitchen? Yes, please.

I think this is a great list of gift ideas for that new mom you might know...

How much fun would it be to host a swap party? I wish I knew more people in Atlanta who would be interested in doing this, because I think it would be an AWESOME way to declutter and reclutter with new things.

And finally, I love Jen Lancaster. Love. With all of my heart. And I just got a giftcard to Amazon for my birthday (which was in February, but I'm not complaining...), and I more or less want to spend it all on books for my Kindle, and now I have some idea of what those books should be. Because I trust her taste in books, Ambien and all.

--------------------------------------------

I hope you all have a lovely, lovely weekend...and here's to everyone keeping their power this time around, OK?

Friday Round-Up

I haven't done a Friday links post in forever, it seems, mostly because I haven't been reading any blogs to link to in forever. But, I'm working on that whole catch-up thing, again, so here are a few of my favorites from the last few weeks...

Elizabeth is a genius, and I want her to come and make my backyard pretty, too.

Jess is apparently in the process of creating her own photography website, and I want to buy all of the sunflowers when she does.

I don't usually post recipes, and let's be honest, this doesn't necessarily qualify as a recipe, but it DOES qualify as food that I'd like to eat. So there...

I think that ever since I've 'met' her, I've been trying to convince Cee to come to Atlanta and fix my closet for me, because she does this, this, and especially this, and I don't. One of these days, I might be able to break her down...

Do any of you watch the Bachelor? Or, even if you don't want it anymore, have you ever watched it? Because this Burning Love parody of that show is so, so, SO much better than the original, I would ABSOLUTELY watch it every week.

How cute are these bracelets?

And who wants to buy me the second Tory Burch dress on this list? Because I looooooove it.

I need to come up with additional storage space for my jewelry, because the corkboard I have been using just doesn't cut it for all of my super long necklaces anymore. I think I may have found my solution...

And...that's all I have for now. Have a super fantastic fabulous weekend, and (if your weather is shaping up to be anything close to what ours is going to be) try not to melt out there, ok?

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

As promised, the lucky winner of the item of her choice from the eShakti shop is....

Congratulations, lady! I'll forward your email address to the eShakti rep, and she'll be in touch with you soon regarding the prize details!

---------------------------

And, a few links to get you through your Friday afternoon, if you're so interested...

In 'that's great timing' news, Miss Giveaway Winner, herself, is hosting a flip flop swap this month. I participated last year, and it was a complete blast. I'd highly recommend getting in on the fun!

I want this outfit. And this one, for that matter. Oh! And a couple of these, thrown in for good measure.

(I am NEEDY today, aren't I?)

Free, printable art? I will definitely be after the tree picture, and maybe the moon picture, too.

I hate wearing messy sunscreen, even though I know it's necessary, particulary when it comes to my face. So, ditching the greasy, sand and dirt attracting lotions, in favor of a self contained powder/applicator sounds like it's right up my alley...

I kind of can't stop giggling at the 6th item on this list. Mostly because if Brigid ever did this, I'd have her calling every member of my immediate family, to tell them the same thing. And I'd record it all. Because I am going to be awesome at embarrassing the pants off of that kid some day...

Have a great weekend!!

Friday Round-Up

Happy Friday, everyone! The sun is shining, the temperature is not of the sweltering variety, and I treated myself to a little bit of caffeine at lunch.

It's a good day all around, is what I'm saying.

I hope your Friday is treating you just as wonderfully sweet as mine is...

----------------------------------------------

And now, for the things I've enjoyed around the Internet this week...

I want the last pair of shoes in this post. I would almost go so far as to say I NEED the last pair of shoes in this post, but I'm sure, given the price, my husband would vehemently disagree. And I'm trying to stay on his good side, since he's giving me a few days of rest and recovery to myself this weekend, while he handles toddler duty at the beach. But still...pretty, pretty, PRETTY shoes.

Jen is a packing genius. Seriously. GENIUS.

How do we feel about this yellow floral dress (the last one in the post)? Because I'm torn between absolutely adoring the heck out of it and thinking it's too stepford-ish for my taste. But with those coral accessories? I kind of want it all. I don't know. I"M SO CONFUSED!

This just makes me smile. It's an outlook on life we should all have, I think...

Then there's this, which is kind of all about poop. But it makes me smile, too, because, well, LIFE. It's just what happens, you know?

And finally, surviving IKEA. Because it's a lesson we could all use at one point or another.

----------------------------------------------

And then, of course, you should check out my latest Style Lush post, if you have the time. And maybe weigh in on the large wooden mustache, if you're interested? Because I think it's awesome, and I need to find somewhere to put it, so I have an excuse to go buy it.

(I totally hooked you with 'wooden mustache', didn't I?)

Friday Round-Up

So...yeah.

I realize that it's actually Monday, not Friday, but last Friday, I was in meetings from 9AM until after 6PM, and then I did nothing productive this weekend, outside of laundry and a trip to Costco.

Which means, I'm posting my favorite links from last week a few days later that I normally would.

Luckily, this is my blog, and I'm allowed to change the rules if I want to...

--------------------------------

Such a lovely, lovely take on body image from one of the first bloggers I ever started following...

Also, Amy posted a fantastic thought on personal power and its role in her weight loss progress.

This post by Kimberly was just such a heartwarming and wonderful take on pregnancy the second time around, I think I've read it five times, but I still haven't been able to come up with a comment that does it justice.

This. This is why I am so. tired. every. single. day. (Also, try not to laugh about it, I dare you...)

--------------------------------

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and I promise I'll do my darned-est to be around more this week!

Friday Round-Up

I am having one of those months where it feels like there are so many things to do, so many things required of me, that there is just not enough of me to go around.

Those are exhausting months, you know?

Needless to say, I haven't spent a ton of time on the Internet these last few weeks, so my list of links is going to be sorely lacking today.

-----------------------------

But when I was off lolly-gagging around, here are a few things that caught my eye...

I want to live in this neighborhood. And I think I could, too, if I could just find the time/energy to make more of an effort with my neighbors, already.

I have some mustard yellow or pink or purple shorts that I think would look fantastic with a black and white striped shirt. Now, if we could just get back to shorts weather around these parts, instead of the 40 degrees I kept waking up to last week, I could give it a shot!

By now, you should just know to follow the Style Lush blog because everything posted there is amazing. But if you don't, you should probably at least swing by to see these awesome DIY lined envelopes. And this DIY bookcase dollhouse. And these canvas prints from Instagram. Oh, and also, this iPhone lens wallet. Seriously...how cool is that?!?!

-----------------------------

Aaaand...I'm spent. I seriously hope things get back on track, soon, because I am one TIIIIIIRED individual these days. This just might end up being the weekend of the nap! Or, the weekend of no sleep, because I have a congested kid at home.

It will definitely be one of those two things, I think...

Happy Friday!

Friday Round-Up

I can't remember if I mentioned a couple of months ago that I was planning to interview for a promotion at work, or not, but I was. And I did. And I got the job!

I've known for awhile now that the job was mine, but my boss wanted to wait until after we closed out first quarter to make the announcement, so the email to the rest of the team didn't actually go out until yesterday. And since it went out, I've received a ton of positive feedback from both the team that I'm managing currently and the team that I will be managing in the future.

Positive feedback! Woo! Except...

Except that I haven't heard anything from the one person I thought might actually have a problem accepting me as the manager. Or the other team member who was up for this job, but didn't get it.

It might be nothing. They might be busy. And I'm not in the main office to see them face-to-face, so they may be waiting for that to happen on Tuesday before they say anything.

Or, they may both be really pissed about how things turned out.

Tuesday should be interesting, to say the least...

------------------------------

And, now for a few of my favorite Internet type things this week...

From the return of Style Lush, I want to throw a party just so I can use this idea to make party favors. And I want to raid the paint chip aisle at Home Depot this weekend, because I think something like this in whatever color scheme I eventually decide on for Brigid's room would look awesome on the walls.

If, like me, you are obsessed with both Jimmy Fallon and Downton Abbey (varied tastes...I has 'em), then you absolutely, most definitely need to check out this video. Immediately. Go...

Any store that has gorgeous yellow sandals for less than $40 is a store that I should probably check out, no?

And...that's all I've got right now. I haven't spent much time on the Internet this week, outside of my Pinterest planning for Brigid's new room. I'm going to have to work on that, I think.

I hate when being a grown-up gets in the way of my fun time...

------------------------------

Also, I have two weeks worth of Style Lush posts to mention here and here, if you're interested.

Have a great weekend!

Friday Round-Up

Twenty-four hours from now, I will be back on the beach. It's only for a few short days, but I take what I can get around here. And I am very, very lucky that I live close enough to the ocean that Brigid and I can tag along on my parents' spring break trip, without having to commit to the full week that they're taking. And I'm also very lucky that my parents agreed to head to Florida via Georgia this time, instead of the Alabama line they usually take, so that my sister can entertain Brigid spend some quality time with me in the car between Atlanta and and the coast.

Where I am a little less lucky is the five hour trip home on Tuesday, when it will be just me, a two-year old, and a whole lot of nothing to do, but I'm choosing not to think about that right now...

(But, if you have a free second on Tuesday, please, please, PLEASE send a couple of unicorn and sunshine thoughts my way, mkay?)

------------------------------

And now, a few things I found while trying to catch up on my Google Reader list, again:

I love this idea on overcoming the post-vacation blues, because hoooooo buddy does the week after vacation get me down.

This is just all kinds of beautiful writing, right here.

I find these bags kind of cool and kind of freaky, all at the same time. And I kind of think I want one because of it.

This makes me want to go out, buy ten Oxford shirts, and wear nothing but for the next three months.

------------------------------

Have a great weekend, friends!

Friday Round-Up

One last comments on yesterday's post, and then I'm done:

The bizarre high school insecurity flashback that's been going on for the last week isn't something that's always there. And that's one of the reasons I needed to get the words out on paper, because it was so annoying to me how I could go from being moderately well-adjusted to being a neurotic mess, solely because I was in my own head. Generally, if I have any sort of issue with anything, I can move past it by just saying the words out loud, and I'm assuming that will be the case here, as well.

In fact, I am already well on my way to being excessively full of self love, so expect post after post about just how awesome I really am...

You're welcome.

(But seriously, thank you all for weighing in with your own thoughts. Wouldn't life be so much more pleasant if we could all just quit beating ourselves up over things that really aren't worth the trouble?)

------------------------------

So...onwards and upwards! Looking for a way to kill some time this weekend? Well, I just might be able to help with that, because I haven't shared my favorite links in a couple of weeks...

I generally love everything Amy has to say. This post about getting in your own way is no exception...

I think I could spend hours and hours trying to redecorate my house based on my favorite movie sets.

Even toddlers need a Birchbox substitute.

I love creative storage and organization ideas, whether it's for laundry or cling wrap.

I definitely have a thing for pleats, especially when they take the form of a swirly skirt. I'm probably a little too excited that they're making a comeback...

All of those thoughts I have about parenthood? Yeah...Jennie has them too, but she's much more articulate in getting them down on paper.

And, of course, a few of my favorite outfits in the last couple of weeks, from oomph to Cee to Kendi. I'm ready to try them all...

------------------------------

Have a great weekend!

Friday, February 17, 2012

Friday Round-Up

Today is my last day as a 31-year old. Which...whatever, right? It is what it is. I'm not going to focus on the getting older aspect of things, I think. Instead, I'm going to celebrate the fun part of birthdays.

Like cake. And beer. And, probably pizza, too.

Man, I love cake and beer and pizza...

--------------------

Now, on to my favorite Friday links! They may be a little short this week, because it's been a busy few days around here. I HATE when real life gets in the way of my internet time, you know?

Do you like sports? Do you like pop culture? Because if you like either of those things, you should really, really be reading the remarkably talented writers at Grantland. They are one funny bunch of people, I swear. Case in point? Rembert Explains the '80s. You. Are. Welcome.

Chalkboard paint. Who knew?

I have this Style Statement book, but I haven't started the process, yet. I'm kind of excited to, though...I really, really hope it helps me get my mess o' stuff under control again. And if I can convince myself to let go of anything I'm holding onto for all of the wrong reasons? Even better...

And...that's all I have this week. Like I said, short and sweet.

--------------------

(And, as always, my post on Style Lush this week. Have a great weekend!)

Friday, February 10, 2012

Friday Round-Up

Well, it's Friday again. Which I'm excited about and all.

Except...I've got some things on my mind.

Nothing bad, or anything There are just some decisions that I have to think through that I didn't think I'd have to make until some time down the road.

So, one of those weekends, then...

--------------------

Now, on to some things less unnecessarily overly dramatic...

I would like to go shopping for a toddler-pestilence survival kit, immediately.

I think I could say this about most of the things that The Bloggess writes, but this robot animal thing? Nearly had me in tears of laughter. She is all kinds of awesome.

In other 'I could link to everything this lady posts' excitement, I kind of want this outfit from Kendi. All of it.

If Brigid was in school right now, and needed to make valentines for her class, we would so be doing this all weekend. Remind me about this conversation next year, ok?

Ginger always hits the nail squarely on the head when she writes about being a working mom, and this post was no exception. I think I find myself falling into the 'someone else is raising my kid' trap from time to time, and I like the reminder that this isn't really the case...

--------------------

And in other news, I did a guest post for Tiffany earlier this week, and I completely forgot to link to it here on Monday, when it was posted. And, of course, you should probably go check out my Style Lush post for the week, too.

Happy Friday!

Friday Round-Up

I know I always brag about my fabulous weekend plans on Friday, like housecleaning and laundry and other exciting such stuff, but this weekend, I'm taking things up a notch. This weekend, we're going to...

(drumroll please...)

...the RV and camper show in downtown Atlanta!

I would sell my house for a deluxe RV in a heartbeat, I think, so this show will either be exceptionally fun for me as I look at all of the options out there, or exceptionally depressing when I realize I don't have an extra $500K lying around for the tour bus of my dreams.

We shall see...

------------------------------

And now, for the things I loved this week:

I've now realized that my home will never be truly decorated until I am in possession of a gorgeous birdcage. As long as there are no birds included of course, because yeah...I have issues.

I think I link to something or other that Amy posts every darn week, but I can't help it. I love everything she writes, and now I need a whimseybox subscription.

I love both outfits in this week's Two Birds - Tuesday Remix, but Nora's pattern combination is just my absolute favorite!

If you need any help picking out Valentine's gift ideas for yourself (yeah, right!) or another favorite lady in your life, the Style Lush gift guide is here to help! And yes, there's some ideas for the man (men?) in your life, too...

And of course, you can check out my own Style Lush post from this week, where I gush just a bit too much about the possibility of free eye shadow...

------------------------------

Happy Friday, all!

Friday Round-Up

So. Friday...

We meet again.

And where last weekend's plan consisted of oh my word, if I don't finally get this house cleaned/organized/put back together from the vacation we took THREE WEEKS AGO!!!, I will absolutely lose my ever loving mind, this weekend is a little more open. Tonight, Steve and I are heading out with his brother and his brother's girlfriend for our January Broadway Series show offering, which is apparently a big marching band performance. Set in a theater.

I don't know quite what to expect, actually, but according to a preview video I watched, there appear to be a LOT of drums involved. It seems...loud.

Whatever. Our seats come with free drinks, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it immensely.

Then, Saturday and Sunday...I've got nothing. NOTHING! I'm kind of looking forward to that part of things. And to round things out, Brigid and I have plans to meet up with Jen and her daughter on Monday, to play with all things princess. Not a bad way to spend the day at all, I think.

------------------------------

And now for what I've loved on the old internets this week...

I kind of want to go out and buy red pants and cognac boots, just so I can copy Angela's look from head to toe. And also, Tara's skirt. And belt. And shoes. And blazer, for that matter.

I constantly struggle with how to reconcile what I feel/wear as a(n almost) 32-year old mother, and what I remember my mother looking/acting like when she was in my position. This post just kind of sums up all of those feelings for me. I hope I'm doing it right...

I want to buy ALL of the doilies and do ALL of the related crafts. I also want to keep typing doilies over and over again, because it's one of those words that starts to lose all meaning the more you look at it. Doilies. Doilies. DOILIES!

One of my new favorite blogs, A Brooklyn Limestone, pointed me in the direction of this gorgeous empty frame tutorial by Lindsay, and I love it. Now I want to buy all of the frames, too, to go with all of the doilies.

Doilies. Heh.

------------------------------

And don't forget to check out my post at Style Lush this week, where I talk of nothing but Disney princesses.

I fear I may be becoming the worst possible mommy cliche, ever...

Friday, January 13, 2012

Friday Round-Up

Another week, another Friday. I should be more excited about this, right? Instead, I have to work today, while my husband takes Brigid to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. Boo!

But, I am easy to please, so all will be forgiven if they just remember to bring the leftover popcorn home with them to appease me. And, maybe, add some 'butter' topping on the way out of the door?

It doesn't take much to make me happy again...

Now, on to the links!

-------------------------

I am on a big 'let's save money!!!' kick this year, because despite having two, full-time working adults with good jobs in our household, I'm not entirely sure we are saving as much as we should be saving. Don't get me wrong...we are definitely saving something. I am not a finance nerd for nothing, you know. But, we could be saving more, I think. So, I really loved this post on little ways to cut back...so much so that I brought down a stack of Brigid's baby washcloths that are too small for bath time, but that might just be the perfect replacement for the quick paper towel rubdown she gets after every meal.

Who doesn't love a good 'how we met' story?

This? Right here? This is why parenting is so awesome and heartbreaking, all at the same time. It's also why, despite what a pain the entire process of bringing a little bundle of joy into the world can be from time to time, I hope I am blessed enough to do it again.

I am absolutely making the 'time of the month' jar, because after 10 years together, my husband should know better than to ask me that question. And if he doesn't, then he deserves to pay me for putting up with him, I think...

While I am not completely against negativity on the internet, because sometimes you just need to vent (and nobody is going to be all shiny-happy-people all of the time), it's still a good idea to remember that if negativity is all you put out there, that's probably all you're going to get back, too. I think most of the people I follow tend to be pretty positive across the board, but sometimes I think my own negativity seems to be getting out of hand.

-------------------------

Also, while it doesn't necessarily qualify as a favorite link of the week (particularly this week, because I completely forgot I had a post due on Tuesday until about...oh, around 10pm on Monday night), I always forget to link up to my weekly Style Lush post, which makes me a terrible self-promoter. I really need to work on that...

Or not. Whatever.

Anyway, go forth, and read about my love affair with the Chi flat iron my sister bought me for Christmas. Because it is a love that runs deep, my friends.
