The nearest exit may be behind you...

Does this outfit remind anyone else of a flight attendant? I really do like this combination, but I can't get past that little hang-up. I don't know if it's the fact that the bow looks like an awkward scarf, or if it's the neutral skirt paired with the navy blue sweater, but I felt like I should be passing out peanuts and soda in this one...

(Full disclosure: I ended up wearing the cardigan unbuttoned all day, and it seemed a little less uniform-ish that way. Also, I'm currently posting this from my iPhone while driving to my parents' place in Indiana. Technology, huh?)

Blouse: Banana Republic (outlet)
Skirt: Banana Republic
Sweater: Gap
Shoes: Nine West
Bracelets: Mango Tree

  1. I like this outfit even though you felt like a flight attendant. Really chic and polished.

I have a shirt similar with the bow tie thing too. I call it my Bob Evans waitress shirt :)

  2. Haha, I didn't even think flight attendant until you mentioned it! Perhaps a bit, but nothing obvious. Hope you're having a great trip so far!

  3. Ha, you're funny! You don't look like a flight attendant. Maybe if you were wearing a navy blue suit from top to bottom, then I might agree. =) You look so professional and chic. I love it!

  5. Oh, I think you look lovely! I adore this outfit on you.

And no peanuts. Not anymore. Now it's crackers or something.

But still, you don't look like a flight attendant. :)

  7. you don't look like a flight attendant! i was actually reading somewhere that a good 'bow top' like that or whatever it's called is actually a fashion staple because it comes back into style every 3-5 years and demands a level of feminine respect... enjoy your holiday~
