Flowers for Everyone!

Today is floral day over at Everybody, Everywear, so be sure to stop by if you have the perfect spring pattern to share...or if you're looking for the perfect way to wear that flowery dress that's currently hiding in the back of your closet.

Because, nothing says spring like a pretty little floral pattern!

Florals | Everybody, Everywear

Today's outfit is a product of one of my recent little shopping sprees, courtesy of the Friends and Families sale at Macy's and the clearance rack at Target. Because as much as I love a good shopping spree, it's so much better when it's accompanied by a great deal, too.

The only item in today's post that wasn't a recent purchase? That would be the shoes.

The shoes, I actually bought a couple of years ago when I was pregnant, and my feet were about a full size bigger then than they are now. You know that saying about shoes always fitting? It is so not applicable when you are pregnant. And now, the shoes won't stay on my feet when I'm walking, a fact that I always seem to forget about until I am actually walking in them, usually from my car to my office. At which point it is too late to do anything about it.

And is this just a long way of saying I almost wiped out getting off of the elevator, tripping over my own shoes, much to the enjoyment of the individuals getting off of the elevator behind me?

Nope. Not at all.

  2. You got that skirt on the Target clearance rack? See, here I thought I had a personal relationship with every single item on their clearance racks, but apparently this cute little skirt got away from me! =) Love that blouse, too. You look gorgeous!

Oh, and don't even get me started on feet while pregnant! Eesh. But in my case, mine grew 1/2 size (with each pregnancy) and then stayed that way! Yes, that is why we're done having kids.

  10. This outfit is perfect on you- the colour of the blouse is stunning! I can't resist a good bargain either and I have had the too big shoe problem- sometimes they just fly off my feet (and I haven't even been pregnant!)

  13. Okay, let's talk about those shoes. I bought them in a 7.5 in teal (ordered them online). They were HUGE. I ended up selling them to a co-worker for $30. So then I get a pair in taupe with this huge eBay haul in a 6.5. I figured I'd just take them to Goodwill but lo and behold they fit PERFECTLY. A 6.5! The shoes are sized completely wonky. They are pretty, though. And I loooove your top!

  15. You did such a great job with EBEW! Those florals are subtle and remind me of watercolors! Have you tried adding some no-slip inserts to your shoes? You can usually get them to fit by adding one below the ball of your foot and adding one at the back of the shoe. That way you won't hate walking in such gorgeous purple shoes!
