Inspiration: Diane Kruger

Today's inspiration from Two Birds is the easy-peasy style of Diane Kruger (who has been dating my make believe boyfriend Pacey Witter for several years now, a fact that I won't hold against her, because she's ridiculously adorable...):

One thing I've learned from this week's inspiration? I really need to get a skirt like the one Ms. Kruger is wearing in this picture, because I absolutely love it. Anyway, I decided to reverse the color palette, because I like to play fast and loose with these things.

(Also, because the closest thing I have to the skirt above is the pink one I'm wearing below, but whatever...)

(Also #2, I've included the heels I wanted to wear with this outfit, as well as the flats that I ended up wearing with this outfit, because the heels weren't conducive to my big plans of hitting up Target with my daughter and running around in the backyard for awhile...)

(Also #3, happy Monday!!)

T-shirt: J Crew
Skirt: J Crew (outlet)
Flats: Cole Haan
Heels: Steve Madden
Necklace: Calvin Klein

  1. This is a cute look! Sometimes I get inspiration from looking at one thing in a picture. It might not look exactly like the picture, but it's definitely a good starting point.

I really need to get to JCrew. I have seen this skirt so many times and am in LOVE!

  6. I love it! I totally need to take a cue from you on the "inspiration." I'm more of a OCD copy the exact same look. I love how you captured the spirit of the outfit. PS - Who the heck do I think I am? Anna Wintour?

  8. another thing i'm jealous about you living in atlanta

1-having that h&m and west elm in Midtown

and 2-being close to the outlets, including j.crew, on the way to greenville, sc!

love your take on the outfit, great you were able to wear the outfit with heels but know that flats would work better for you

  9. You look adorable! I also went with the reversed color palette on this one, but I agree, Diane Kruger's skirt is super cute. I like your skirt, too! I have to check out J Crew stuff (on sale of course) more often.
